Leslie Nielsen died this Sunday in a Florida hospital from complications brought about by pneumonia. As millions of fans suddenly realize Nielsen was Canadian after looking at his Wikipedia article, the word "serious" is being used in Twitter and Facebook more than it has been used since The Dark Knight premiered. David Zucker is deeply saddened by the loss of his only well known frequent collaborator, as Nielsen acted in several of his films. Also, the [Genre] Movies will never be the same now that Nielsen's Airplane! has taken off with destination: Heaven.
Our thoughts go out to LN's family in this terrible moment of their life.

Adobe AIR

Today I got a notice to update Flash Player to version 10.1, and I was about to accept terms of use when I realized that this was the first time I was being asked for this (that I could recall). If this was the case, then it must be because they had changed something. I decided to look, and I saw that with Flash, I would have to install Adobe AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime). From what I have read, it's a platform for many web apps, and it's supposed to be useful.
The problem is that in the EULA I found a section that says AIR has a function similar to BitTorrent's BTDNA. This means that to save server bandwidth, your computer might connect to other personal computers to assist each other in the download of whatever it is you're doing.
They should probably be more upfront about this. There are also 2 other sections (7.1 and 7.3) that talk about ads in online PDFs and how you connect to third parties, and LSOs which I'm not that comfortable with. Is it safe? I have no clue. It's not very airtight in the privacy department though.

ability for applications built by third parties to connect to an Adobe Server or Service and permit direct
